Noroclav is for the treatment of bacterial infections in Cats and Dogs. Clinically, Noroclav Tablets have been shown to be effective against a wide range of diseases of cats and dogs including:
- skin disease (including deep and superficial pyodermas)
- soft tissue infections (abcesses and anal sacculitis)
- dental infections (gingivitis)
- urinary tract infections
- respiratory disease (involoving the upper and lower respiratory tract
- enteritis
Presentation
Noroclav Tablets are presented as beef flavoured, pink circular tablets in two dose forms:
- each 50mg tablet contains 40mg Amoxicillin and 10mg Clavulanic Acid
- each 250mg tablet contains 200mg Amoxicillin and 50mg Clavulanic Acid
Administration and Dosage
For oral administration only. Noroclav Tablets are often accepted from the hand even by sick cats and dogs. Alternatively the tablets may be crushed and added to a little food.
The dose rate is 12.5mg per kg bodyweight, twice daily. (equivalent dosage 12.5mg per 2.2 lbs bodyweight, twice daily).
